The Imperial Arms, Old Hill, Chislehurst
The Imperial Arms is an outstanding Gastropub, Bistro and Function Room based in Chislehurst. It was refurbished to a very high standard by family member, Interior Designer, Martyn Lawrence Bullard and features in his TV programme Million Dollar Decorators.
The Pub is cosy, warm and inviting with two bars and dates back to 1787. The Library Bar and the Catherine Bar, named after the Mistress of Napoleon 111 who stayed here when he was exiled to Chislehurst in 1870. The Bistro is housed in the Original Coach House in the grounds of the pretty walled Garden and this is available to hire for functions as well as being a restaurant.
Delicious, reasonably priced, homemade food is available daily, along with an excellent Sunday Lunch Menu in both the Pub and the Bistro. Our wine lists offering delicious wines from around the world, may of which are by the glass! Our Real Ales are perfectly kept, for which we have been awarded the Cask Marque recently for our London Pride, Harveys, Marstons Pedigree. Available on Draught we have Peroni, Beavertown, Stella, Birra Moretti, Super Chilled Fosters, Guinness, and Aspall Cider. We offer guest Real Ales also along with a fine selection of bottled beer and ciders and Spirits.
We are also VERY PROUD to have been selected as the first Chislehurst Pub in TEN YEARS to make it into CAMRA’s Good Beer Guide.
Sunday Roast in Chislehurst
Sundays we serve Award Winning Roast Dinners from 12.00 to 5.30pm and you can choose to dine in either the Pub, Bistro or Garden. Booking is always advisable for what is considered to be one of the best roast dinners in Kent!
Bistro & Function Room
Apart from being a romantic and cosy restaurant, if you have something to celebrate, our Bistro is available for hire and holds up to 40 people for a buffet and 24 for a sit down. It lends itself perfectly to Birthdays, Xmas Celebrations, Christenings, Baby Showers and Wakes and includes the use of the private walled garden also. We offer a selection of delicious buffets or can tailor make food to your requirements.
