Very excited to be putting up the Xmas decorations this week. We hope to have them up by Friday, as its always a big job!
As Xmas Eve is a Sunday this year, it’s been a bit of a dilemma what to serve. Several people have booked already and want a roast and others want a la carte. We have decided to offer Roast pork, Roast Sirloin of Beef, Roast Turkey, our Vegan Roast and Vegetarian Goats Cheese Roast, along with Beouf Bourgignon, Lamb Tagine and Chile Sin Carne which is vegan, (not that you would know it).
All the starters and deserts will be usual a la carte and last booking will be 4.30pm, so we have time to prepare for our Xmas party in the evening from 7pm.
We are asking everyone who would like to come for lunch on Xmas Eve, to give us a pre order also.
There will be no tickets on Xmas Eve but no food either. Just a lovely friendly atmosphere and Xmas party music till 12.30am. You may book a table, or we are happy this evening, for people to stand and of course dance!
We have some great live music lined up in the Bistro also, starting with Jack Valentine on Thursday 30th November, getting us warmed up for Xmas by doing some festive songs, followed by the amazing Susie G, singing and playing her sax for her Xmas Show on Friday 8th.
Mercedes will be back on Weds 20th with her Xmas show and if you haven’t heard this girl sing, you are in for a treat!
Jack will be back on the 21st December with his full on Xmas show. These will be great evenings and there will be a charge of £7.50 for Susie G, Mercedes and Jack’s Xmas shows in December, as we have to pay more than double to them and the bistro maximum holds only 22 people. It does though, make for an intimate and fun evening. We are always sold out for these shows, so please book soon, so not to be disappointed.
The Xmas quiz will be Wednesday 6th December from 8.30 and we have a real treat on Monday 11th, when ‘Just Voices’ will be singing Christmas Carols for us in the pub from 6.30 for 45 mins. Come down for some mulled wine and a free mince pie!
New Years Eve is also Sunday this year and it will be normal Sunday Roast menu. Once again though last orders at 4.30, to get ready for the New Years Eve party, which once again will not be ticketed.
