Hi there
Hope everyone is safe and well with Covid doing it’s worse at the moment. We are all out the other side now thank goodness, but apologies to those whose bookings we had to cancel due to staff shortages.
We have decided to hold our fun quiz twice a month now. So this will be on the first and third Wednesday of each month. So the next two quizzes will be 19th January and 2nd February. They are very popular evenings and the rule is tables of up to 6. The cost is £2 each and £1 of which goes to Charity. We are currently collecting for St Christophers Hospice as they are a voluntary organisation who apparently are struggling at the moment. The prize pot stands at £80 for next quiz.
We have introduced a pot of our delicious gravy to dip our famous beef burger in. If you haven’t tried this before it’s an absolute delight and is just £1 extra. Our special for next week, will be homemade Beef Ragu with Tagliatelle and Empinadas with Chimmichurri sauce will also be on the menu. You can choose from Chicken, Beef or Vegan.
Seafood Friday will now be back extended to Saturday now Xmas is over and we do recommend you book y9ur tables asap in either the Pub or Bistro.
We will be hosting Burns Night again this year on Tuesday 25th January in the Bistro where there will appropriate Scottish music and ditties and a lovely 3 course menu for £29.95 with a wee dram of Whisky on arrival. There will be 5 Scottish Single Malts to choose from.
Valentines Day this year will be Monday 14th February and will be both in the Pub and the Bistro. The menu will be £29.95 with. glass of Champagne on arrival. Booking essential.
For those of you who don’t know, the Pub is now more like a restaurant in that we don’t have bar stools or allow people to stand at the bar, unless they are waiting for a table. We feel this has made us a much nicer, friendlier and more controlled Pub, particularly in these times of Covid. No crowding around the bar trying to get a drink anymore and we do waitress service to your tables.
We are currently fully booked for Sunday Roast tomorrow 16th, so sorry to anyone who was hoping to join us. We are usually fully booked by Friday/Saturday now so do urge you to try to book in advance. We do however get cancellations on the day, particularly due to Covid so its always worth a quick call or look on the Website.
Jack Valentine is back in the Bistro with his Tribute to Sinatra and the Ratpack on the last Thursday of the month, which is 27th January.
We look forward to seeing you soon
